Excerpt #1

1. "Thats just the way i am" is an expensive way to live a life.

2. Most people live lives of quiet desperation. We have our insecurities. Refuse to live in fear of a bunch of people who may, like you, be quietly desperate.

3. Outstanding individuals develop a special self awareness which endears them to others.

4. When we are over critical of ourselves, we tend to resent people who are doing better. Sometimes we are subconsciously hating ourselves so we find that something is wrong with other people. When others do well, we feel inadequate, so we get critical. The criticism has nothing to do with the accomplishment or others but it has to do with your own self-concept. You will never improve your relationship with others if you did not start to like yourself better.

5. Comparing ourselves is a trap.

6. You dont get out of a hole by pulling others into it. Love yourself first so others will love you too. Loving yourself is not a matter of boasting to all the world but it is a matter of self-acceptance.

7. To enjoy fruitful relationships, you have to choose to be your own bestfriend.

8. If you are perfect, youd be an angel. The fact that you are still a person gives you permission to make some mistakes.

9. While someone is miserable and depressed, one can only attract people who have big problems. Then they'll have twice the misery.

10. People who enjoy fulfilling, stable relationships are balanced people. They do not go looking for someone else to fill a hole. They recognise their own value. You have to be somebody first. Its no good being someone's other half - you are a whole person.
