Art of Persuasion

1. Persuasion is just like any other art form or practice. There will always be time when you fail because you made a miscalculation or a wrong step. If and when this happens you must carry on. Learn from your mistake and recalculate. Once you have taken the time to step back, level your head and recalculate, you will know whether or not it is a lost cause or if a new plan of attack is to be put on. In simpler terms, try and try again. Don't let failure keep you down.

2. You must make sense with your target otherwise indirect and unclear contact can mislead your target and cause your plan to derail. E.g. Dont hesitate to call is much better said as call me tomorrow. This direct and positive approach ensures an understanding between parties and move you one step closer to the goal of the game.

3. Timing is of an essence. A fatigue mind is much more submissive than that of a well rested mind. Try to approach your target after something mentally taxing, such as studying for a test, a long day at work, or working on a project. More often than not, they will agree because they are in an exhausted state.

4. Knowing what your target likes will always give you the advantage in the game of persuasion. It may even serve as a protection or a get out of jail free card when most needed.

5. While speaking to your target keep your language poetic. Its not necessary what you say, but how you say it.

6. A common mistake is confusing understanding with acceptance in terms of point of view. It is vital to your game that you never allow mutual understanding to your agenda. Your agenda is to change the targets view to match your own, not the other way around. Understand them but don't believe them.

7. It is said that people who show weakness get killed by those who lack them.

8. Emotions played correctly can win someone over.

9. Always keep your focus on the end result.

10. A perfect character isn't only unrealistic, they are boring. While lack of realism is easily forgiven, there is no excuse for being boring.
